Silat European Tour 2014

Assalamualaikum dan Salam Sejahtera,

Alhamdullilah dengan segala nikmat yang diberikan oleh Allah.

Bersyukur kita dengan kejayaan Program Silat European Tour 2014 telah berjaya dilaksanakan menerusi kerjasama erat Pertubuhan Seni Gayung Fatani Malaysia (PSGFM), Pusat Cemerlang Silat (PCS), Kelab Silat Olahraga Bangi (KSOB), Kelab Silat Universiti Malaya (KSUM), Kelab Silat Olahraga UiTM Seremban 3 (KSOUiTM), Jabatan Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Negara (JKKN), Kementerian Belia dan Sukan (KBS) dan beberapa sukarelawan yang turut serta sepanjang program tersebut dijalankan.

In the 70s, all Silat Malaysia teaching and groups were advised to register under the Act of Society 1966 so that their society is be legally active. Thus, some of the Silat group and teaching from Silat Melayu (Malay’s Silat) stream or also known as local Silat, Seni Silat Melayu Tradisi Semenanjung (Peninsular Traditional Art of Malay’s Silat), were registered with the variety names, such as Seni Gayung Fatani, Silat Jawi, Silat Bunga,  Silat Melayu Asli, Silat Melayu Patani, and etc. 

However, the master of the Silat Melayu stream still passed down the silat syllabus by using the same music instruments but by using traditional silat inside shed education techniques.

The History of Silat Malaysia - Episode 1

The writing about "silat malaysia" is actually not precisely found.

Though, the term "silat" is only existed around 16th century because during that time, silat is only known as a fighting art, a warrior skill, or even as a brave-man-skill, which means, refers to the Malay's art of war.

Even the issue of silat malaysia is widely debated regarding the history but the government of Malaysia already recognized the martial arts as the official self defense in the country. Thus, the techniques performed is the original form of martial arts that only found in Malaysia.

As the founder of Silat Malaysia, the late Grandmaster Anuar Abdul Wahab has been recognised as the country warrior medal by the Malaysian government for his effort in founding the curicullum of Silat Malaysia.
